Matthias Eberle to head Corporate Communications at Lufthansa Cargo
New responsibilities in communications at the Lufthansa Group for Nils Haupt and Martin Riecken


The business journalist, Matthias Eberle (43) is taking over as the new head of Corporate Communications at Lufthansa Cargo AG. He is to take up his new post on 1 April 2012. He is currently foreign editor of the Handelsblatt, Germany's leading business and financial newspaper in Düsseldorf. He was previously the financial journal's correspondent in New York for five years.

Matthias Eberle succeeds Nils Haupt (48), who is moving to a post in communications at the Lufthansa Group in the course of 2012. At the Group, he has been appointed Director Corporate Communications The Americas, based in New York.

His predecessor, Martin Riecken (46) who is currently responsible for corporate communications in North and Latin America as Director "The Americas", is moving to Group headquarters in Frankfurt am Main to take over global responsibility for international corporate communications.
